Mumbai, May 26, 2026 ; In a significant administrative shake-up aimed at reorganizing city policing, the Home Department of the Government of Maharashtra has issued fresh transfer and posting orders for 9 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).
This latest round focuses heavily on urban commissionerates—including Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Notably, the state government has modified its earlier directives from the mid-May reshuffle, officially cancelling the previous placement orders for several officers, including DCP Kavita Nerkar.
