MUMBAI: In a significant top-level bureaucratic reshuffle, the Home Department of the Government of Maharashtra has ordered the transfer and postings of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADG).
According to an official government order dated June 23, 2026, extracted from the document Screenshot_2026-06-24-01-01-39-84_f541918c7893c52dbd1ee5d319333948.jpg, senior IPS officers Vishwas Nangre and Ravindra Singhal have swapped their current assignments with immediate effect.
The New Postings
The transfers have been executed under the provisions of Section 22N of the Maharashtra Police Act. The details of the reshuffle are as follows:
Vishwas Nangre: Previously serving as the Additional Director General of Police for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Maharashtra, he has now been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Nagpur City.
. Ravindra Singhal: The incumbent Police Commissioner of Nagpur City has been transferred to Mumbai to take charge as the Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
