Eco friendly Ganesha video was created by Dr. Suhani V Mendonsa to spread awareness amongst one and all!
We have been doing talk and demo of clay Ganesha by my friend Meeta of Meetakrutti
to children at schools as they are our future! The amazing response we have got from students to spread the awareness and promising to be ambassadors. Every year almost 80,000 idols are made for Ganeshotsav which is celebrated with great pomp in Maharashtra. Festivals are meant for celebrations but it doesn’t give us the right to harm nature!
Humble request to have a eco friendly Ganeshotsav!
“Residential societies and mandals should encourage doing immersion of idols in the small artificial ponds. If they use idols made of clay or mud, they can dissolve it in these artificial ponds, rather than sea or lakes. The dissolved mud can be used in the garden and pots for plants,” said Dr. Sahani V Mednosa.
