Mithibai Kshitij celebrates Teachers’ Health on Teachers’ Day

The working committee of Mithibai Kshitij organised a free health check-up for the teaching as well as non-teaching staff of their college on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on 5th September, 2018 in the college campus. The students want to thank the teachers for their valuable contribution, guidance and encouragement that have given new impetus to the students’ work.
Kshitij collaborated with PharmEasy, an app which provides Free Health Check-up, conducted this event where the medical representatives from PharmEasy administered the check-up of almost 400 staff members of Mithibai College. The following tests for the teachers were conducted: Creatinine, Uric Acid, SGPT, Cholesterol, Body Age, Blood Pressure, Body Fat and BMI. “I am deeply touched by this initiative taken by the students. I have celebrated Teachers’ Day for so many years but something like this never happened before.”, said one of the teachers from the college. The Chairperson of Kshitij 2018, Pari Sheth said, “We tried to make this Teachers’ Day a special one for our teachers, we hope that this check-up served the purpose”.

Kshitij is the annual cultural fest of Mithibai College; prospering and superseding itself since 2007 with a working committee of 700 students and a footfall of 40,000 people. For the twelfth time Kshitij is going to ignite the city with its gentle luminosity on 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th December with its theme – A Nostalgic Takeover. Kshitij is a platform for the students of almost 250 colleges to exhibition their talents who come to participate from all over the country.

Teachers dedicate their time and energy to shape a better future for the coming generation, for which they might not be able to take care of their health. Teachers’ Day is a wonderful opportunity for all the students to do something for the teachers in their respect and honour. “This was a great effort taken by the students to show gratitude to their teachers by helping them avail a free check-up.”, said Dr. Rajpal Shripat Hande, the Principal of Mithibai College. The teachers do not have time for regular check-ups as they are always busy with students, they hope that this effort taken by them would make a difference and make this Teachers’ Day a memorable one for all their teachers.
