Mumbai: BEST Driver Held For Smuggling Liquor Worth Rs 12 lakhs  In Bus Amid Coronavirus Lockdown.

Accused driver purchased liquor from shops in Nalasopara East and was set to supply it in Mumbai where liquor shops are shut due to the pandemic.

A BEST bus at Bandra depot has been seized and driver has been arrested by the Tulinj police in Nalasopara for allegedly smuggling liquor in a mini BEST bus meant to transport frontline workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Tulinj police has seized the bus and recovered 327 liquors bottles worth RS 12 Lakhs.

Police has arrested the accused under section 188 of IPC and case has been registered under  Maharashtra prohibition Act.
