Based on the viral video, RPF officials analyzed CCTV footage and intensified surveillance at railway stations. During the operation, the two transgender persons were located on Platform No. 12 at Dadar Central Railway Station and brought to the RPF Post, Dadar, for questioning.
During interrogation, they admitted that the altercation took place on a local train between Mahim and Bandra after a dispute with a passenger while asking for money. The argument reportedly escalated into a physical assault.

As the incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Mumbai Central, both individuals were handed over to the GRP for further legal action.

The GRP Mumbai Central has registered a case under Section 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated the necessary legal proceedings. During the inquiry, both individuals expressed regret over their actions and issued an apology.
Railway authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and dignity of passengers. They stated that any act of violence, harassment, or misconduct on railway premises or trains will be dealt with promptly and strictly in accordance with the law.
