“Education Sector will boom with right implementation activity not only allocation of funds”
“Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget speech for 2020 has proposed many new initiatives on education including Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) in education.
We welcome the decision which will improve the quality of education as well as the infrastructure especially in the rural areas where a large number of children study in government schools. An allocation of Rs 99,300 crore for the education sector and Rs 3000 crore for skill development has been made in the budget which is a step in the right direction and has been an area of concern in the education sector. The Center would announce a new education policy soon which we hope would incorporate the aspirations of a large number of populations. There was also announcement of a degree-level full-fledged online education programme to be offered by institutes ranked in the top 100 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework which is a positive development”.
