Mumbai: Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh Visited JJ Police Stn after 26 Police Personnel tested Positive
Mumbai: Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Thursday visited J J Marg Police Station in South Mumbai, which is the most affected police station in Maharashtra, with 26 policemen, including 12 officers, testing positive for COVID-19.
He was accompanied by Addl CP South Shri Nishith Mishra, and DCP Sangramsinh Nishandar.
Param Bir Singh spoke to the staff and boosted the morale.
Reportedly, ever since the nationwide lockdown was imposed on March 24, 233 policemen have tested COVID-19 positive in the state ever The lockdown has been extended till May 17 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Speaking to the media personnel, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said the police were fighting a microscopic enemy and with confidence that they will win the war waged by COVID-19.
During his interaction with his officers, Singh said, “the morale of the police force is high. The police have won the battles against underworld, mafia and terrorists during the 26/11 attacks. Similarly, this battle too will be won. No doubt about it.
