Tonight Mumbai is ready to Welcome New year 2025 On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024, various programs are being organized at various Places Beaches, Hotels, Disco and pubs where Mumbaikars will celebrate this New year party.
To ensure law and order during the celebrations, the Mumbai Police has implemented comprehensive security arrangements across Mumbai.
For a safe and smooth New Year’s celebration, the Mumbai Police has deployed a total of 2,184 police officers and 12,048 police personnel. This includes 8 Additional Commissioners of Police, 29 Deputy Commissioners of Police, and 53 Assistant Commissioners of Police, along with teams from the Traffic Department and the S.R.P.F. Special units such as the Platoon, QRT Team, BDDS Team, RCP Platoon, and Home Guards are also part of this extensive deployment.
On this occasion, police blockades will be established at various locations, with patrols and fixed-point arrangements in crowded areas. A special campaign targeting traffic violations and drunk driving will be in effect, along with inspections of establishments to prevent illegal activities and ensure public safety.
Strict legal action will be taken against individuals found driving under the influence, causing disturbances, misbehaving with women, running unauthorized liquor establishments, or engaging in the sale or use of narcotic substances. The Brihanmumbai Police urges all citizens to follow the rules and enjoy the New Year festivities responsibly and enthusiastically.
