Federation to establish district-level Marathi Builders Associations across Maharashtra to create a strong state-level platform for developers

At the State-Level Joint Meeting of the Marathi Bandhkam Vyavsayik Mahasangh, Maharashtra, the apex organisation representing Marathi real estate developers across the state, Mr. Prakash Bhimrao Baviskar was unanimously elected as the President of the Federation. Mr. Pramod Patil was also unanimously elected as the Working President.

The meeting focused on the Federation’s future organisational expansion, statewide action plan, and several strategic initiatives for the welfare and sustainable growth of the construction industry.

To strengthen the Federation through the guidance of distinguished personalities from government, industry, and other professional fields, it was resolved to invite MLA Pravin Darekar to serve as Patron, Mr. Gajanan Kirtikar as Chief Mentor, and Mr. Satish Magar as Chief Advisor. The Federation also resolved to seek guidance and cooperation from eminent personalities representing the construction, industrial, legal, administrative, and social sectors.

The meeting was attended by Founder President Dr. Suresh Haware, Working President Sanjay Kulkarni, Vice Presidents Ajit Marathe and Gajendra Pawar, Joint Secretary Sandeep Kolhatkar, Treasurer Babasaheb Bhosale, President of Marathi Builders Association, Pune Nitin Deshpande, Makarand Kelkar, President of Marathi Builders Association, Nashik Sanjay More, Anil Dhanwat, Subhash Tamkhane, Sachin Chumde, Samadhan Sonawane, along with office bearers, developers, and representatives from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and several districts across Maharashtra.

All dignitaries and members congratulated the newly elected President, Mr. Prakash Baviskar, and extended their best wishes.

Addressing the gathering after assuming office, Mr. Baviskar stated that the Federation aims to emerge as Maharashtra’s most influential and professionally managed apex organisation representing the construction and real estate sector.

As part of this vision, the Federation will establish Marathi Builders Associations in every district of Maharashtra. Subsequently, branches will be formed at the taluka, city, and planning authority levels to bring together developers, engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and all stakeholders connected with the construction industry under one strong and unified platform.

Mr. Baviskar further emphasised that the Federation will proactively represent the concerns of the construction industry before the Government. Issues relating to development approvals, redevelopment, planning authorities, infrastructure, taxation, policy reforms, and other legitimate concerns of developers will be pursued through constructive dialogue and lawful representation.

He added that the Federation will not merely function as an organisation highlighting industry issues but will evolve into Maharashtra’s leading policy think tank for the construction sector by providing practical, legally sound, and development-oriented recommendations to the Government.

The Federation reaffirmed its commitment to fostering constructive collaboration among the Government, industry, and society while strengthening the contribution of the construction sector towards Maharashtra’s overall economic and infrastructural development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, all office bearers unanimously resolved to strengthen the Federation’s organisational network across every district of Maharashtra and build a united, effective, and influential statewide platform for the construction fraternity.
