Railways to Introduce Bi-Weekly Express Train Between SMVT Bengaluru and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus

Railways will introduce regular bi-weekly express services between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru (SMVB) and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). For the convenience of passengers and to enhance connectivity between Karnataka and Maharashtra,

The details are as under:

Train No. 16553/16554 SMVB Bengaluru – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Bi-Weekly Express

Train No. 16554 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – SMVB Bengaluru Bi-Weekly Express will commence service from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus with effect from 24.05.2026 every Sunday and Wednesday.
Train No. 16554 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.15 hrs and arrive SMVB Bengaluru at 22.30 hrs the next day.

Train No. 16553 SMVB Bengaluru – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Bi-Weekly Express will commence service from SMVB Bengaluru with effect from 23.05.2026 every Saturday and Tuesday.
Train No. 16553 will leave SMVB Bengaluru at 20.35 hrs and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 20.40 hrs the next day.

*Halts:* Thane, Kalyan, Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj Junction, Belagavi, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi Junction, Karajgi, Davangere and Sampige Road.

*Composition: One AC 2-Tier, 4 AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Luggage cum Generator Van and 1 Seating cum Luggage compartment.

Reservation: Bookings for Special train no 16554 will open on 20.05.2026
