Hello Mumbai National Desk
Mumbai/Srinagar – November 15, 2025 – The Sufi Islamic Board (SIB) today expressed profound shock and grief over the tragic loss of lives following the explosion at the Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, on the night of November 14, 2025. The incident, which resulted in the demise of nine individuals, including dedicated police and forensic personnel, occurred while samples were being extracted from a massive cache of explosives seized from a terror module.
National President, Sufi Mansoor Khan, issued a statement expressing the deepest condolences:
“The loss of these brave lives—men and women who were working diligently to dismantle the machinery of terror—is a tragedy for the entire nation. We stand in absolute solidarity with the families of the deceased police officers, forensic experts, and all civilians affected by this unfortunate incident. May the injured recover swiftly and completely.”
The Sufi Islamic Board unequivocally condemns the ideology of violence and radicalism that led to the stockpiling of these destructive materials. The SIB reiterates its commitment to the core tenets of Sufism: universal peace (Sulh-e-Kul), compassion, and service to humanity.
Khalid Rayeen the Secretary J&K said “Terrorism, in any form or manifestation, is a direct contradiction of Islamic principles and human values. Those who propagate and practice violence in the name of religion are enemies of humanity and have no place in a civilized society,” the statement read.
The Board urges all citizens and communities to uphold peace, reject divisive narratives, and support the efforts of the security forces in ensuring stability and harmony in the region. The strength of India lies in its syncretic culture, which must be fiercely protected against all radical threats.
