The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), Branch Office Andheri, Mumbai, organized an Awareness Programme on the MSME TEAM (Trade Enablement & Marketing) Initiative at Venkatesh Banquet Hall, Bhayander (West), District Thane, focusing on empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through digital marketing and e-commerce linkages.

The initiative, launched by the Ministry of MSME and implemented through NSIC, forms a key part of the Ministry’s Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme, aimed at fostering competitiveness and expanding market access for MSMEs across India.
The primary objective of the event was to build awareness among MSMEs about digital market linkages and opportunities available through platforms such as the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), enabling enterprises to reach wider markets.
Conducted in association with the Shree Bhayander Stainless Steel Manufacturers and Traders Association, whose members are primarily engaged in utensil manufacturing and trading (a recognized cluster), the programme drew participation from entrepreneurs across Bhayander, Thane, Mira Road, and nearby regions.
During the session, Sh. Kantharao Jinna, Sr. Branch Manager, NSIC BO–Andheri, welcomed participants, delivered the inaugural address, and presented details of NSIC schemes and their benefits for MSMEs. He, along with Seller Network Participant (SNP) experts, explained how the TEAM initiative supports MSMEs in accessing digital commerce platforms through ONDC.
Participants were also briefed on the financial incentives and capacity-building support available under the scheme including digital cataloging, packaging, logistics, and account management assistance provided through ONDC Seller Network Partners.
Sh. Narendra Estolkar, Jt. Director, MSME-DFO, Ministry of MSME, emphasized the importance of adopting digital platforms and urged MSMEs to leverage various schemes and initiatives of the Ministry of MSME and State Government. Sh. Kantharao Jinna alongwith Sh. Mahendra Malviya, Mumbai Head, National SC-ST Hub., has highlighted the significance of support programmes such as the National SC-ST Hub and NSIC’s marketing and credit facilitation offerings in helping enterprises improve productivity and visibility.

Sh. Hiten Gada, President of the Shree Bhayander Stainless Steel Manufacturers and Traders Association, encouraged members to embrace digital tools and government schemes to reach new markets and enhance competitiveness.
The event was supported by National SC-ST Hub, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, WhyNot Advertising Pvt. Ltd., D. M. Metalloys Pvt. Ltd., Navabharat & Navarashtra Press, and Kitchen Culture News as knowledge partners.
The MSME TEAM initiative continues to strengthen the MSME ecosystem by enabling micro and small enterprises to integrate with the growing e-commerce network, benefit from government-backed digital trade opportunities, and become part of India’s expanding digital commerce landscape.
