​Marking 100 years since the destruction of Jannat al-Baqee as per the Gregorian calendar, the Sufi Islamic Board, in collaboration with the Al Baqee Organization, hosted a significant conference in the capital of the world’s largest democracy I e Bharat — a nation known for its rich heritage and tradition of tolerance. This conference brought together scholars, dignitaries, community leaders, and concerned citizens to highlight the importance of are Building the Baqee Shrines and garner international co opeation for its honorable restoration.

​The SIB has been actively conducting conferences since past 9 years for the restoration of the Baqee Shrines and have jointly hosted with The Baqee Organisation since last two years. This is the third year in joint collaboration where this program iwas held at Aiwan E Ghalib in Delhi. This initiative continues to gain momentum, drawing participation from diverse sections of society.
​The Delhi conference featured prominent speakers and dignitaries, including:

​The Sufi Islamic Board remains committed to peaceful advocacy, unity, and awareness through such initiatives, aiming to educate and inspire people across regions. Speaking at the issue SIB President Mansoor Khan said that though the radicle face of Islam came into existence 1400 years back when the core element of true Islam of “Man Kunto nto Maula, Fa Hazaa Aliun Maula” was not followed, the distruction of of the Baqee Shrines was basically directed by the Deobandi/Wahabi nexus so that the true peaceful face of Islam could be distorted.
Last year the Sufi group requested the Government of India to include the matter of the reconstruction of Jannatul Baqi on the agenda of future India-Saudi Arabia talks, possibly under the framework of cultural or religious cooperation. A positive dialogue on this issue could serve as a bridge of understanding between the peoples of both nations and foster greater interfaith harmony, the group said
