In a significant breakthrough regarding the NESCO party drugs case, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (Ghatkopar Unit) has arrested 34-year-old bar dancer Ashwini Paul. During a raid on a flat in Titwala, officials seized 5,030 Ecstasy pills weighing 5 kg, with an estimated market value of Rs 6 crore.

  • Role in the Racket: Police identify Ashwini Paul as a primary drug peddler within the supply chain. She reportedly leveraged her position in Mumbai’s nightlife and party circuit to distribute narcotics.

  • Evasive Tactics: To avoid detection, she frequently shifted her base between Kalyan, Pune, and Navi Mumbai. Investigators believe she has been active in this illegal trade for at least two years.

  • Broader Crackdown: With Paul’s arrest, the total number of individuals apprehended in the NESCO case has risen to 10. The police are continuing their raids to dismantle the remaining links of the supply chain

The NESCO party drugs case gained high-profile attention following the tragic death of Two  Students,,an MBA student, who reportedly died of a drug overdose during a party at the venue. Further investigation into the source of the lethal substances is currently underway.
