On their drive against prostitution and on the strength of specific information received by the Senior Officers of the Thane Crime Branch through Social Activist Dr Binu Varghese of three minor forced into Prostitution racket a trap was laid by the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Thane police today.who arrested two women for allegedly trying to sell two minor girls aged 16 & 17 and in virginity.

According to the police, following a tip-off about a gang involved in prostitution activities, Dr Binu Varghese posed as a customer and fixed a deal with a police team led by PI Ashok Kadlag, who established contact with the accused through a decoy customer, who struck a Rs 1 lakh deal for two young girls

While two pimps including a woman who assisted the accused cracked the immoral deal have also been arrested for their involvement in the alleged crime..

The police have rescued two minor girls from the custody of their tormentors.

After receiving clarification on the deal and agreeing on a location, a police team of AHTC Thane, raided South Coast Hotel near old Passport office in Thane west yesterday Monday 5th April and arrested the woman and her 17-year-old daughter along with their accomplices of one of the victims who came there to collect the money.

The two young girls (aged 16 and 17) have however been rescued.
