Support Wings Promotes Community Responsibility Through Cleaning Drive in Mumnai
Mumbai | 26 September 2026
Continuing its commitment to creating meaningful social impact through youth-led action, Support Wings successfully conducted a cleaning drive in Mumbai on 26 September 2026, following the Ganpati Visarjan celebrations. The initiative focused on promoting cleanliness, civic responsibility, and active community participation among young people.
As part of the initiative, Support Wings volunteers came together to clean areas affected by post-visarjan waste and helped restore cleanliness in the surroundings. Through their collective efforts, the volunteers contributed towards creating a cleaner and more responsible community environment.

The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of maintaining cleanliness even after public celebrations and encouraging individuals to take responsibility for the spaces around them. The drive also encouraged young people to actively participate in community welfare and contribute through meaningful action.
Support Wings is a youth-driven organisation active across 80+ cities in India, empowering young individuals through leadership programs, internships, volunteering opportunities, and community-driven initiatives that inspire them to become responsible changemakers.
Speaking about the initiative, Diya Kothari, Director of Support Wings, said:
“Celebrations bring people together, but taking responsibility for our surroundings is equally important. Through this cleaning drive, we wanted to encourage young people to take an active role in keeping their communities clean and contribute towards a healthier and more responsible environment.”

The cleaning drive reflects Support Wings’ continued commitment to encouraging civic responsibility, community participation, and meaningful youth-led action towards creating cleaner and better communities.
