Initiative celebrated women achievers from social service, entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, arts, public leadership and community development
Pune, Maharashtra | May 2026:
Media World News successfully hosted the ‘Bharat Ki Beti Award 2026’ at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Bhavan, Ghole Road, Pune, bringing together distinguished personalities, public representatives, artists, entrepreneurs and social contributors to celebrate the achievements and leadership of women across diverse sectors.
At a time when conversations around women’s leadership, representation, entrepreneurship and safety continue to gain national attention, the event highlighted the growing contribution of women in shaping India’s social, economic and cultural landscape. The initiative focused on recognising women whose work has created meaningful impact in society and inspired communities through leadership, resilience and service.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. Among the prominent guests present were Ankita Patil Thakare, along with several dignitaries and personalities from social and public life.
The event also saw the special presence of noted actor Dev Gill, Miss Earth India 2025 Komal Chaudhary, actress Kesari, and actor Prasad Shikhare. Women achievers from Maharashtra as well as different parts of India were felicitated during the ceremony for their contributions in fields such as social service, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, public leadership and community development.
The initiative was organised under the leadership of Sumit Ambekar, Founder of Media World News, with support from Shri Pramod Gole and business mentor S. S. Sawant.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumit Ambekar said:
“Bharat Ki Beti Award 2026 is an effort to recognise and celebrate women whose inspiring work continues to positively influence society. The objective behind this initiative is to provide a meaningful platform to honour women achievers and ensure that their journeys inspire future generations.”
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Neelam Gorhe said:
“Today, women are making remarkable contributions across governance, education, healthcare, industry, social work and public life. Recognising such achievements creates a positive inspiration within society and encourages greater participation and leadership among women.”
Based on the theme ‘Nari Shakti – Rashtra Shakti’, the initiative was supported by awareness campaigns, outdoor publicity, social media promotions and public outreach activities across Pune city ahead of the event.
The ceremony concluded with award presentations and felicitation sessions celebrating the achievements, dedication and contribution of women from diverse backgrounds.
