The Maharashtra government has ordered the immediate transfer and promotion of several senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
As part of this sweeping reorganization, Mokshada Patil, who was serving as the DIG of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) in Mumbai, has been posted as the new Additional Commissioner of Police for Brihanmumbai (Greater Mumbai).
Priyanka Narnaware, the former Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) for Brihanmumbai, has been transferred to serve as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Chief Vigilance Officer for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) in Mumbai.
The reshuffle also brings major promotions across key regions. Tejaswi Satpute, previously the Commandant of SRPF Group No. 1 in Pune, has been promoted to the rank of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) for Pune City.

Ashok Dudhe transitions from his role as Deputy Commissioner of the State Intelligence Department (SID), Mumbai, having been promoted to DIG of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Dixit Gedam, formerly a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Brihanmumbai, takes charge as the Additional Commissioner of Police for Brihanmumbai.

Rounding out the high-profile appointments, Krishnakant Upadhyay and Pravin Munde, both previously serving as Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) in Brihanmumbai, have been promoted to the rank of Additional Commissioners of Police within Brihanmumbai. Finally, Yogesh Gupta, who was the Superintendent of Police holding temporary charge as DIG Gadchiroli, has been officially promoted and posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for Gadchiroli. This strategic realignment aims to reinforce law enforcement leadership across the state’s most critical urban and regional security wings.
