​Mumbai: Shri Tushar Eknathrao Gaikwad, the General Secretary of the Mumbai Congress, passed away this morning following a brief illness.
​He was the son of the veteran late mass leader (Loknete) Eknathrao Gaikwad and the brother of Member of Parliament (MP) and Mumbai Congress President, Varsha Gaikwad.
​Final Rites and Antim Darshan Schedule
​The family and party sources have announced the schedule for his final journey so that well-wishers and party workers can pay their last respects:
​1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: His mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Vikhroli for public viewing.
​2:00 PM to 4:00 PM: The body will then be moved to the premises of the Abhay Shikshan Sanstha to allow a wider circle of citizens, leaders, and party workers to offer their final tributes.
​Evening: The funeral and last rites will be performed later this evening at the Tagore Nagar Crematorium.
​Political leaders across party lines have expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of the young Congress leader, offering their condolences to Varsha Gaikwad and the bereaved family.
