Pir Makhdum Saheb Charitable Trust and Haji Ali Dargah Trust Announce 12-Day Celebration for the 1500th Birth Anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam

MUMBAI, 25th August 23, 2025 – Pir Makhdum Saheb Charitable Trust and Haji Ali Dargah Trust are honored to announce a comprehensive 12-day program to celebrate the 1500th birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. Under the leadership of Managing Trustee Mr. Suhail Khandwani, the celebration will feature a series of spiritual, social, and charitable events from the 1st to the 12th of Rabiul Awwal.
The festivities will commence on Monday, August 25, 2025, with a Parcham Kushayi (flag-hoisting) ceremony and a Duff Programme at the Mahim Dargah Campus. The celebration will continue with a community cleaning drive, educational sessions on the lifestyle of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) at Rehbar Foundation’s Albarkat Malik Mohammed Islam School, and a free distribution of books and school supplies to students.
A key highlight of the program is the “Interactive and Interfaith session on ‘Legacy of the Holy Prophet of Islam – Justice, Equality and Righteousness'” on Saturday, August 30, 2025, which will bring together leaders from various faiths to discuss the Prophet’s universal teachings.
In a strong commitment to public welfare, the Trusts will host a three-day free medical camp at the Mahim Dargah Campus from September 1 to September 3, 2025. These camps will provide essential health services, including heart check-ups, and specialized care for females and eye check-ups, in collaboration with Balaji Hospital, Anjuman-I-Islam’s Kalsekar Hospital, and Raheja Forties Hospital.
The celebration will culminate on Friday, September 5, 2025, with several significant events, including a Moo-e-Mubarak Ziyarat at Mahim Dargah and Haji Ali Dargah. The day will also feature the distribution of refreshments to participants of the Juloos (procession) from Wanjawadi Masjid. A grand stage will be set up near the J.J. Hospital Junction to welcome the Juloos and felicitate the participants.
A special Darood Sherif Day will be observed on Thursday, September 4, 2025, with the goal of reciting 15 crore Darood Sherif across multiple locations and through online submissions.
