Vikrant More: Creating International Opportunities for India’s Short & Documentary Filmmakers

Hello Mumbai Entertainment Desk

Vikrant More is working to create international opportunities for India’s short-film, documentary and independent filmmakers through his initiative “Save Indian Cinema Save Nation.”

The initiative aims to help new filmmakers take their films beyond India and reach international audiences, film festivals and industry professionals.

One of the key features of the initiative is financial support for independent filmmakers. Under the programme, some selected filmmakers receive up to 50% sponsorship support for their films towards participation in selected international platforms and screening opportunities.

The aim is to reduce the financial burden on independent filmmakers and help more Indian stories reach the international market.

Through his Film festival organisations and international initiatives, Vikrant More has also been taking selected top Indian films presented at The World Biggest Film Festivals the Cannes International Film Festival and the Venice International Film Festival.

These initiatives provide filmmakers with opportunities to showcase their work internationally and connect with audiences, producers, distributors and other film professionals.

Save Indian Cinema Save Nation

The idea behind Save Indian Cinema Save Nation is simple — support new filmmakers, promote Indian stories and create a path from India to the world.

The initiative gives special importance to short films, documentaries and independent cinema, helping filmmakers explore opportunities outside the traditional Indian market.

Through these efforts, Vikrant More aims to build a stronger connection between Indian filmmakers and the global film industry and give new talent a chance to be seen internationally.
